About the Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa holds the crown for world's tallest building, standing at an incredible 828 metres (2717 feet)! To put that in perspective, that’s around 2.5 x the Eiffel Tower in Paris, so the Burj Khalifa is quite tall!

It's the number one tourist attraction in Dubai, with around 17,000,000 visitors in 2023, depending on the statistics you read! If the figures are true, it also makes it one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

The Burj Khalifa has two observation decks and The Lounge:

The building isn’t just a hotel as many think. It’s got both residential space with people’s private apartments and commercial space with corporate suits and offices, as well as the Armani Hotel Dubai, named after the fashion designer, Giorgio Armani.

Given its height, the Burj Khalifa is home to the world’s fastest elevators which travel at speeds of up to 10 metres per second, which whizz you up to the Observation Decks!

Due to its sheer size, the Burj Khalifa was also designed with sustainability in mind and features unique systems to collect condensation from its cooling system, which is then used to irrigate the surrounding landscape, which is very clever!
