About Downtown Aquarium Houston‍

Although it may be called ‘Downtown Aquarium Houston’, it’s so much more! Downtown Aquarium Houston does of course include fish and lots of them (as well as stingrays, sharks, turtles and more) but it also offers rides, attractions and even a ferris wheel! So you see it’s not just your average aquarium visit! 

The Aquarium

The aquarium features multiple tanks with marine life from around the world! You can explore the Louisiana Swamp, a Shipwreck, the Rainforest, a Sunken Temple, the Gulf of Mexico, and the White Tiger exhibits! All home to their different species. Find stingrays, clownfish, groupers, lionfish and so much more! You will find sharks, spiders and scorpions all under one roof, but not one tank, don't worry!

Rides and Attractions

Downtown Aquarium Houston even has several amusement park-style rides and attractions that you can enjoy, which includes a Ferris wheel, an aquatic carousel, a shark voyage train ride that travels through a 200,000-gallon shark tank, and an aquatic-themed playground for children!

The aquarium also offer multiple dining options to suit the family, including the Aquarium Restaurant, where visitors can dine surrounded by a 150,000-gallon aquarium filled with colourful fish and other marine creatures!

As you can see, Downtown Aquarium Houston is so much more than just an aquarium! Its FUN for the whole family!
