The Dubai Fountain Show is another of the things that you hear about when talking about Dubai. The fountain show combines water with music and lights in order to create an amazing choreographed performance!
The Dubai Fountain Show takes place on the Burj Lake, which is a huge 30-acre lake at the base of the Burj Khalifa and alongside the Dubai Mall, and with it being Dubai, the fountain show is the world’s largest choreographed fountain display!
For an even closer experience you can watch the fountain show up close by getting access to the ‘Dubai Fountain Boardwalk’, which is a 272 metre long floating platform on the lake that gets you just 9 metres (30 feet) from the water jets! Getting up close gives you an amazing perspective as you are right in front of the dancing water performance, but so close that you can also feel the mist from the water jets, which on a warm evening can also be a lovely sensation!
The fountain area covers more than two football fields of space on the lake and the choreographed performance involves projectors, water, music and more than 6000 lights and the set is brought to life as it sprays 22,000 gallons of water up to 140m up in the air!
The Dubai Fountain Show is another thing to tick off your ‘Things to do in Dubai’ list! Just picture the colour, the water, the music and the evening sky and the Boardwalk gives you access to the best view in the house (or lake!).
