About Efteling
Efteling, which opened back in 1952, is one of the oldest and biggest theme parks in the world offering a magical theme of fairy tale with folklore and ancient legends, and has something to offer the whole family.
Fairy-tale Forest (Sprookjesbos)
This is one of the park's iconic attractions and features a leisurely walk through a forest filled with scenes from classic fairy tales, such as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel. Each scene is intricately crafted and brings these stories to life.
Fantasy-themed rides
The rides and attractions are inspired by fairy tales and folklore and include roller coasters, dark rides, water rides, train rides and more (something for the whole family to enjoy). One of the most famous rides is "Droomvlucht" (Dream Flight), a dark ride which takes visitors on a magical journey through a dreamlike world.
Located in a lush, forested area, which also adds to its charm and beauty and given its fairy tale theme, the park is designed to seamlessly blend into its natural surroundings.
