About Hemisfèric

The Hemisfèric at Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) is the local iconic structure that houses a large-format cinema, planetarium, and laserium, which offers a range of film experiences including educational films.

The Hemisfèric is one of the most distinctive buildings in Valencia with its elliptical shape that resembles a giant eye with a striking glass roof that can be reflected in the surrounding water to complete the image. The building's "eyelid" is a movable, 100-metre-long cover that can open and close, creating an even more dynamic visual effect!
