About Keukenhof

Welcome to Keukenhof, famously known as the "Garden of Europe" and home to the annual Tulip Festival, which takes place from mid-March to mid-May each year.

Over 7 million bulbs are planted annually, creating stunning displays of colour and beauty. To ensure a continuous bloom throughout the 10-week open period, Keukenhof's gardeners begin planting the bulbs in October of the previous year. The flowers are carefully arranged not just by colour but also by height and size, resulting in breath-taking displays.

While it's called the "Tulip Festival," the gardens also feature a wide variety of other plants and flowers with them all serving as a living catalogue for flower growers and bulb sellers.

The 2025 show, which runs from March 20th to May 11th, will mark the 76th edition of the flower festival and is anticipated to be more spectacular than ever!

Set in the Keukenhof Castle Estate, the festival is organized by local bulb growers to showcase their catalogues, but it’s also open to the public for everyone to enjoy and visitors come to the annual festival from all over the world to enjoy the displays.

Keukenhof is a fantastic destination for families, with plenty for kids to explore, including a scavenger hunt that takes place every year.
