About Moco Museum Amsterdam

The Moco Museum Amsterdam (short for ‘Modern Contemporary’) is an art museum established by husband and wife team, Lionel & Kim Logchies in 2016. The couple are also the founders of the LionelGallery in Amsterdam.

Housed in a historic townhouse in the heart of Amsterdam's Museumplein district, near other museums like the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, the Moco Museum aims to bring modern and contemporary art to a broader audience by showcasing works from renowned artists as well as emerging talents.

One of the highlights of the Moco Museum, which also attracts the younger crowd is its focus on street art and urban culture with exhibited works by internationally acclaimed street artists such as Banksy and includes the pieces:

  • “Barcode”
  • “Girl with Balloon”
  • “Love Is In The Air”

The museum also features works by other contemporary artists including:
