About Montjuïc Cable Car

The Montjuïc Cable Car (Telefèric de Montjuïc) is the easy, convenient and fun way of getting from Barcelona to Montjuïc hill it and offers unparalleled panoramic views of the city on the route at a height of 84.5 metres above the city.

Begin your journey with a short funicular ride from Paral·lel metro station to Parc de Montjuïc. From there, you simply switch to the cable car for a scenic 750-metre trip to the top of Montjuïc.

The cable car has a couple of stops on route which you can hop on and off at, including

  • ‘Parc de Montjuïc’,
  • ‘Miramar’,
  • ‘Castell de Montjuïc’.

Your final destination is the historic Montjuïc Castle, a 17th-century fortress and former prison.

While exploring Montjuïc, look out for iconic landmarks such as the Sagrada Familia and Torre Glòries. You will also have a great view of Barcelona harbour as well.
