Pena Park in Sintra is a truly breath-takingly beautiful park that surrounds the Pena Palace, a stunning 19th-century Romanticist palace. Sitting around 45-minutes away from Lisbon, the park is known for its beautiful landscapes, exotic plants, and scenic walking trails. The centrepiece of the park is the palace (access not included in the park only ticket). The UNESCO World Heritage site and a prime example of Romantic architecture.

What you can find in Pena Park

Chalet of the Countess of Edla: A picturesque chalet which was built by King Ferdinand II and his second wife Elise Hensler. A charming blend of rustic and romantic styles.

High Cross (Cruz Alta): This is the highest point in the park and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the Atlantic Ocean on clear days.

Valley of the Lakes: Another beautiful area with a series of five small lakes where you will find wildlife that lives there including ducks and swans.
