Enjoy a different perspective of Prague – 100 meters above the ground!
The Žižkov Television Tower is one of Prague's most unique and striking landmarks and is famous for its futuristic design and panoramic views over the city.
The tower stands proudly at 216 metres (709 feet) tall in the Žižkov district. It was built between 1985 and 1992 and is the tallest structure in Prague. It was designed by architect Václav Aulický and structural engineer Jiří Kozák with its primary purpose being for broadcasting (thus its name!), but the tower also includes an observation deck at 93 metres (305), a restaurant and bar (at around 60-metres), and even a luxury one-room hotel!
The tower's unique, rocket-like appearance has made it both a point of pride and controversy for Prague residents!
