Top of the Rock at 30 Rockefeller Plaza (also known as the GE Building) offers three levels of indoor and outdoor Observation Decks on the 70th floor, and terraces facing in each direction of north, east, south and west. Top of the Rock is up there (if you excuse the pun) with the best of the Observation Decks as not all offer panoramic views in every direction!
One of the unique features of Top of the Rock is its open-air viewing platform on the 70th floor as it allows you to experience the city’s sights and sounds without any glass barriers obstructing the view!
30 Rockefeller Plaza is also home to NBC Studios, which means there is a chance you may also run into the lies of Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels as they film there!
Top of the Rock also offers various different exhibitions and displays that showcase the history of the Rockefeller Center and its significance to the city.
Its one of the most famous buildings in New York City and for that reason, it appears on a lot of 'Things to do in New York City' lists!
