About Zoomarine Algarve

Zoomarine Algarve is one of Portugal’s most popular water and theme parks! It’s a fairly unique destination as it combines entertainment, education, and conservation efforts. It offers a variety of attractions and experiences for visitors of all ages.

The park is split up into various sections which include:

Aquatic Attractions Area

Home to Zoomarine Beach, waterslides, swimming pools, waterplay areas, lazy river, fantasy island, treasure island and Quetzal, a new area with more water slide fun! A great place to spend some time!

Zoological Attractions Area

Home to the animal and wildlife side of the park. On this side you will find the following sections: Butterfly Garden, Oceanus (aquarium), Americas - a wonderful walk-through habitat, Porto d’Abrigo, which is a rehabilitation centre for marine animals, the Mississippiensis - the park’s alligator habitat, the Cowabunga section, which is home to the parks tropical tortoise habitat and lastly, the Tortoise habitat, which is home to the standard and large tortoises!

Amusement Park Area

This section of the park is home to yet more fun in the form of roller coasters! Its got rides of various sizes to suit all from the young visitors to adrenaline rush rides for the older ones wanting a bit more speed!

Park Shows

The park offers various shows to its visitors which include:
  1. Dolphin Show: One of the main highlights is the dolphin show which features impressive performances by the intelligent marine mammals. Visitors can also learn about dolphin behaviour and conservation efforts.
  2. Seal and Sea Lion Show: The shows are both entertaining and educational,  and showcase the abilities of seals and sea lions whilst promoting awareness about marine life conservation at the same time.
  3. Birds of Prey Show: An educational display which features various different birds of prey. The show aims to educate visitors about the importance of these birds in the ecosystem whilst also entertaining the crowd, again making it fun and informative.
  4. Parrot Show: Colourful and intelligent parrots perform tricks and engage with the audience, providing both fun and education on bird species and their habitats.

Exhibits and Attractions at Zoomarine Algarve

Aquarium

Zoomarine Algarve is also home to an incredible aquarium which offers a vast array of marine life set up over around 20 different ecosystems which includes sharks, rays, and exotic fish. The aquarium, like the rest of the animal side of the park, aims to educate visitors about marine biodiversity.

4D Cinema

An immersive experience that combines 3D film with sensory effects like water sprays and moving seats, bringing stories to life in a dynamic way.

Zoomarine Beach

A man-made beach with wave pools, water slides, and a lazy river. It’s a perfect spot for families to relax and enjoy water activities.

Pirate Island

A themed play area with water features, slides, and climbing structures, designed for younger visitors to explore and enjoy. They also put on shows to entertain the crowds!

As you can see, Zoomarine Algarve will keep you fairly busy and entertained for the day and will help the kids sleep well that night!
