One of the highlights of the journey is passing a real shipwreck, the former U.S. Navy vessel that served both the Mexican Navy and the U.S. for nearly 40 years! The ship, once used in rescue missions and anti-drug operations, was intentionally sunk to create a thriving habitat for marine life, encouraging the growth of corals and attracting diverse sea creatures.
Your journey continues to the famous Cozumel Wall, an amazing underwater cliff with a dramatic 1,800-foot drop-off at the island's edge which is a sight that will leave you in awe!
The eco-friendly, all-electric submarine comfortably accommodates 48 passengers and 3 crew members, with 26 viewports and a large bow viewport to ensure panoramic views of the ocean life. The submarine dives to depths of over 100 feet where you will see the incredible underwater world and things normally only reserved for scuba divers!
The submarine is capable of staying submerged for up to 24 hours, but don’t worry, you won’t be under for that long! The trip lasts around 2 hours in total which includes a safety briefing and boat transport to the submarine and then a 45-minute underwater journey!
